An expansion of the Kudzu Coalition

Tree Care

Did you know there are more than 23,000 kinds of trees?

Trees are the largest and oldest living organisms. They produce oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide.

They provide shelter and food for animals, insects, flora, fauna… and human beings, too.

Spartanburg County is home to 5 arboretums and more than 1,200 trees at Hatcher Garden alone.  And our trees need our help!

It’s easy to get money to plant trees, but most plantings have little to no budget for ongoing care. Trees Coalition volunteers care for Spartanburg’s trees on trails, parks, neighborhoods, green spaces and more!
